This internet radio station is here for everyone in Northwest Ohio but primarily to serve the nearly 60,000 residents of Sylvania City and Township, as swell as greater Toledo. We are a community radio station and will offer local as well as statewide news and information, weather, high school sports, and community news that is of interest to those of us enjoying the Sylvania-Toledo lifestyle. We welcome your input and encourage you to email your views, likes, dislikes and perhaps an idea that will help us serve our community even better.
The station can be accessed on the internet from anywhere in the world, it can also be streamed on cell phones and on newer radios in certain late model cars. It will soon be available on all car radios. [insert the QR app logo here]
The music format is largely classic rock with a mix of current popular music and some eclectic music from many genres. We have more than 5,000 songs rotating through our stream list. We encourage you to send us your requests, we will do everything possible to get your “favorite tune” on the air. We will soon have a time slot dedicated solely to requests.
WSYL.fm will not play music with foul language, nor will we allow commercials to air for businesses that we deem to be in poor taste. WSYL.fm is essentially a throwback to real “community radio”, looking out for the people who live, work, shop and play in the greater Sylvania-Toledo area.
